not my thing, but the comparable Trader Joe's house brand (Trader Jose Lager) is $5.99 a six ,and better imo
[Edited on April 26, 2008 at 12:39 AM. Reason : made by the same brewery Tecate and Dos Equis]

It's pretty good, but definitely expensive to be in a clear glass bottle. Corona competition, not at all. I hate corona. 4/26/2008 1:39:37 AM |

It's an anheuser-busch product packaged in a way to make you think it's a micro brew. Beyond that, it's not very good, certainly not worth the price. 4/26/2008 2:18:46 AM |

Corona is not a good beer
I mean shit it tastes like Mexican tap water when its fresh and most of the time its skunked because of the stupid clear glass bottles so you have to put a lime in it to make it palatable

^ of Landshark? It's drinkable, but that clear bottle won't keep it tasty very long. I'd rather drink bud light over landshark, and I don't even like BL anymore. Landshark is just too expensive to not taste any better than it does. 4/26/2008 6:06:40 PM |

people on the wolfweb don't like an expensive beer unless it requires a knife and fork to consume 4/26/2008 6:08:36 PM |

yeah. It's my dad's favorite, and I enjoy it.
I mean, if I'm going to go domestic, I'd pick up Yuengling.
But I was just stoked that she bought me beer since she hates it. 4/26/2008 6:09:29 PM |

you have to remember it's an island style lager. it's not supposed to full of heavy flavors and shit. it's supposed to be light and refreshing for a hot day on the beach, boat, etc.
i like it when the girlfriend's buying 4/26/2008 11:03:55 PM |

^^ why not red stripe, then?
red stripe tastes much better than this crap
cost the same (or less)
and is imported
(plus, the bottle shape keeps it colder longer on the beach)
why anheuser busch thinks people will pay for poor domestic imitations, I'll don't know
oh, and
beer in clear bottles ftl 4/27/2008 8:34:09 AM |

Pacifico is significantly better than Landshark, and they are pretty comprably priced. I had a new "tropical" lager the other day in Melbourne FL called "Hurricane Reef" by the Florida Beer Company (that's the real name of the brewery, I shit you not), and it was WORLDS better than Landshark. Cheaper too.
Caribe is also an acceptable substitute. 4/27/2008 9:13:24 AM |
