"that's" is a contraction...

"whatev" is just a shortened form of a word.
Sometimes shortened forms of words are contractions (can't = single word contraction of cannot - which is confusing in itself b/c some people write that as two separate words - or ma'am = single word contraction for madam, or o'er for over)
I don't really think most of the things listed on here are contractions though...
