i used to do those, moved out of state though.

motorcycle safety course would be a safe bet, the one at Ray Price is a bit more expensive than the community college courses, but you can usually find a spot almost last minute, while cc ones fill up months in advance

I am guessing you do not have a bike yet right? If you do, I can teach you how to ride. lol I just won't let someone I do not know on mine.

Are the community college courses really useful? Are there sepqrate courses for cruisers and sports bikes?

MSF is their own organizations but they hold them at community colleges and other venues for their parking lot. Well worth the investment. For basic riding, the principles between cruisers and sports bikes are the same. MSF does over more advanced courses but they require previous experience. I'd also advise trying out a dirt bike course at a racing school as they teach you some slick dynamics of control.

I signed up for the course at wake tech a couple of weeks ago, and the earliest spots they had available were for the beginning of august. You might want to call tomorrow morning if you want to get into one any time soon.
