I have a HP dv2000 that is reasonably powerful. I like to do minimal gaming, but my graphics card is a POS Geforce 6150, which seems to be incapable of running anything more demanding than WoW on low settings. I'm not sure if I would need to replace the motherboard to upgrade my vid card, but I would like to upgrade one way or the other.

Basically, what are my options?

laptops are, generally, not upgradeable unless specifically designed to be.

the only option i could think of would be to get the guts of a dv2000 with a better video card off of ebay and replace yours with its

sell what you have and get something better. not worth the attempt to upgrade, and it wont work anyway, the 6150 is an integrated card, so far as I've ever seen

Thanks, that sort of what I figured you guys would say. Its a weird machine, came with lots of RAM and processing power, but the aforementioned POS graphics.

I'll probably just build a desktop some year.
