Sometimes you have more contact with these characters than the actual instructor, especially in labs.

I've had several good ones:

Josh Gurkin for CH402 - Very knowledgeable, explained difficult material well, always kind to students no matter how easy the questions they asked were.

Bill Gerber for CH499 - Hilarious, did interesting research, very patient with students and made lab fun. Gave me lots of helpful information on my final project that's also applicable to real world problems.

Which TA's did everyone else like?

I forget his name, but I had him for CH 102. He was a really nice, laidback guy, and he let us know what to expect in chemistry.

^And Bill. Not many TAs have war stories, esp. 'Nam.
