How do you know you are receiving it, and when should you expect it and how? Physical check in the mail? Same automatic deposit as your federal return? Do only married families get it? What about students who file as dependents?

they should have sent you some indicator

you should expect it may 2nd if the last two digits of your SS # end in 0-20, May 9th for 21-75, may 16th for 76-99

you get direct deposit if that's how you did your federal taxes

married families and individuals get it

i'm not sure about dependents. You probably don't get one then and your parents do.
