you know, this is just another example of how men objectify women and ruin society.

I'm glad that most of the clothes I buy come in the size S, M, L, or XL.

Well I worked at J.Crew so it was:

XS 0-2
S 2-6
M 6-8
L 8-12
XL 12-14

This is approximate, but J.Crew is cut super small even though their fit model is a size 6 (a couture size 6 though which is like a 4)

I'm 5'7, skinny, and can wear a size 2-8 depending on the brand

So it really depends of the brand of clothes you get

"plus size" is size 14 and up, and a lot of guys would call a girl FAT if she's in a size 14. but a girl who is 5'9" and up isn't fat in a size 14.

but you're asking about a girl who is 5'5" so i'd say "curvy" is probably a size 8, and anything bigger than that you might label as "fat" even though that's probably not the case

if this is an internet girl, just ask for a picture for cryin out loud

curvy is certainly a valid body description. a girl with hips and ass but not a really big belly. she's not skinny, but she's not fat.

black guys would call that kinda girl THICK

i don't see why people are calling 8's medium sized. Thats a fairly plus sized woman. I dated one girl who wore an 8, but some times a six ( i still to this day don't get how clothes are one size in one brand and then a different size in another). I picked up a pair of her jeans one time and slipped them on. I didn't even notice really until they didn't come all the way up on me. The waist could have easily fit me and still had some room. Thats when i realized how big an 8/6 really is.

a size 8 on a girl who is 5'5 is completely different than a size 8 on a girl who is 5'9.

someone who is 5'3 is SKINNY in a size 2. someone who is 5'9 is SKINNY in a size 8.

someone who is 5'9 is CHUNKY in a size 16. but who cares, i'm still gonna look hot in my wedding dress

ooohhhhh snap. you go girl

my current girl is 5'6" and a size 2, sometimes a 4, but usually a 2. I'm pretty content with that. Especially given that she eats three meals a day.

An 8 on a 5'5" is not fat and definitely not "fairly plus sized". To me, "fairly plus sized" on a 5'5" would be 170 lbs or more. This doesn't even take into account differences in body shape.

There's a difference between having fat in the wrong places and having curves (but still having a small waist). A lot of times people take "curvy" and make it a euphemism for "fat," which I think is stupid. You can be curvy and still be skinny--just not in that same boyishly skinny way some girls are.

I agree with SweetTreats's ranges.

wow, you have some fucked up ideas of fat.

my ex was a 12/14, but i wouldn't call her fat. i mean, she was thick/chunky/whatever. and she was 5'4".

i agree with chembob but it's all in the eyes of the beerholder beholder. a guy who likes curvy women would say a size 12/14 is perfect. a guy who likes skinny women would say a size 12/14 is fat. and i'd say that guy who likes skinny women is an idiot
