I'm replacing my 94 engine with a 97. The 97 engine has one pintle cap missing. I can't buy just a pintle cap anywhere locally. The pintle caps will fit on both, but one has a larger hole. I don't see why they should matter...but I need some expert advice and no one can tell me when I ask.

I'm trying not to have to pay $60+ for a new injector.

Uhhh what car??? Pintle caps all vary by the maker of the injector. I've been down this road before. It's easy to find Bosch pintle caps (like on F-150's) for example, just look online. You can also find Denso (most 90's Japanese cars) easy too.

If you REALLY wanted to be ghetto, you could put the end of injector in a piece of silicone or neoprene vacuum/fuel hose. I've seen it done, but I'm not saying I recommend it.
