how was it that they were able to call obama in NC after like 70,000 votes, 1% of precincts reporting....

and they still cant call indiana? i realize that one is a lot closer.

can someone speak on this please. i don't get that part. i can see them calling it when its not mathematically possible anymore. but with 99% of the votes uncounted?

this is my 4th time voting in a presidential election year (wow im old, been voting 12 years... 1996, 2000, 2004, and now 2008)

and i've NEVER been approached after voting asking who i voted for. i dont get it

exit polls are exactly what they sound like they are. Polls done at polling stations as people are leaving.

They are usually done by people working for the media, not actual reporters.

dont put too much stock in the polls

and keep in mind, many people arrive, vote, leave to go back to work...its probably soccer moms and whatnot who have time to stay around and get interviewed
