Whatever it is you eat make sure it's nutritional and won't aggravate your inflamed gum tissue. When I had mine out I tried to drink those single serve Muscle Milk-type protein drinks at the grocery store as well as Ensure for the added nutrients. Remember that your body is trying to heal and doesn't have access to the food it would normally use for self-repair, so don't eat shit like pudding and jello because there's not much nutritional value for your body to use.

i never had any pain at all when I got my wisdom teeth out

i got a whole bottle of vicodin and only took a couple pills

I was going to take the rest of the bottle back to North Carolina but my mom stole it from my luggage before I left home

that woman knows me all too well

how long from when you scheduled the appointment did the dentist/surgeon see you? I have to get this done sometime this month.

applesauce, broth-type soups with soft veggies, nothing with a lot of spices. you'll be able to eat basically anything soft in a few days.

i scheduled a consultation first and the earliest they had was a month away

and then the appointment for the actual surgery was about another month apart

so it took me nearly two months

i was able to eat solid food 12 hours after i got mine out

you just gotta go with what doesn't hurt and make sure you clean out your sockets well after you eat

I had mine out a few years ago. I LIVED on KFC mashed potatoes.

I think I was pretty lucky; I had no swelling, no nausea and next to no pain. Mostly, I was just frustrated not being able to eat what I wanted to eat.

You aren't supposed to eat things like oatmeal and grits because the particles get stuck and make very bad things happen. But if they gave you the squirty thing to clean out the wounds (and you actually use it) then I guess it isn't the end of the world.

Don't drink through a straw, you can get dry sockets and I hear that hurts like hell.
