anyone tried this to get out of a misdemeanor? did it work, and if so how much did you have to pay? if not, what was the outcome?

does anyone have a friend who's second cousin on their mother's sides roommate tried this, how much did they have to pay, what was the outcome?

I've plead guilty to a lesser charge (i.e. going 9 over as opposed to going 20+ over). I think that's about all you can do unless you want to try and get arrested for bribery. Hiring a lawyer is usually a good idea too, if it's a pretty substantial fine. They can usually get it dropped off your record, which is why you pay them so much.

this is more of a DIY thread than a lawyer recommendation thread

really more of an FYI thread, 'cause nobody would ever bribe a government official, I think they have laws against that or something

I imagine that a college student does not have enough money to bribe a government official. I mean really, do you think that a DA is going to risk their job for pocket change?
