Fennel seeds in lasagna? That is kinda odd...unless the lasagna had sausage instead of ground beef and the seeds got liberated from the sausage.

not really, fennel is used all the time to season meat whether its ground beef or sausage.
this had both meats in it i think but it was just full of free floating fennel seeds (which IS odd).

most of the time its good with the hint of fennel...but this was like someone had just dumped an ass load of them in the dish
