anybody that went to lab already (or in the summer from another year) know exactly how to do the prelabs and if you use the paper provided in the back for the whole prelab?

Yes, you use the carbon paper in the back of the lab manual to do the entire lab report.
Typically, you will complete the prelab prior to lab and your TA will check it before you start. Then, you will continue writing your results/observations/conclusions and turn in the entire thing at the end of the lab period for grading.

In the past, the pre-lab consisted of a list of reagents and their data such as: melting point, boiling point, formula, structure, MSDS hazards, density, etc. an outline of the procedure, and answers to any questions in the lab manual.
