I moved into a rental house and only plan to be there 9 moths. We have 2 phone jacks one upstairs and one downstairs. We have DSL, Satellite, and a fax machine. All 3 need to be downstairs.

Problem is the phonejack is across the house from the DSL, Satellite, and fax. I've heard both positives and negatives about these "wireless phone jacks". Would this be the best way to make everything work? I don't thing I can run both (DSL and Phone line) through the wireless phone jack. Anyone else have any bright ideas besides leaving a cable in the middle of the floor or paying AT&T $90 to instal a new line, or drilling through the side of the house to install my own phone line?

Use a wireless phone jack for the voice part of it

Use a wireless router and leave the DSL modem/router upstairs at the old jack for data
