I just think its an odd twist of fate for ECE students to start at salaries higher than one of their teachers.

They put shitloads of time and money into earning their degrees. The fact that some people are shocked that a few break 6 figures (after, in some cases, 6+ years of graduate education while living on peanuts) is hilarious.

I thought it was funny that one of the old professors I have (who is really nice, in a position of high-authority, very respectful, very responsive, very helpful with my questions) makes twice as much as another one of the professors I had (who fails on some social levels, comes off as bipolar sometimes, and never responds to emails though I know they read them and there are valid questions asked in them).

IT'S ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT MAKES YOU THINK!

Also, Dr. List makes a fair amount there, I think. Doesn't seem like too much for a department head to make, especially one as established and large as CE. I will say this about him though: I didn't know who Dr. List was until the last few months of my time working on my CE Bachelor's Degree. He might wanna work on introducing himself to us students when we're freshmen so we at least know who the department's leader is, haha.
