Thought I would go ahead and start the Big Brother 10 thread.
Here's the first announcement:
Big Brother 10 Preliminary Casting is Complete
I have such great news to share, I may well burst before I actually get to tell you. But first... the big news from Big Brother Casting Director, Robyn Kass. If you applied for Big Brother 10, and you're still waiting for word... the wait is now officially over. Here's what Robyn posted on her blog:

Big Brother 10
All finalists for BB 10 have been notified.
To all of the people who applied this year - THANK YOU!
We had a huge number of applicants this season, which made our decisions even more difficult. Thank you so much for all your efforts and as I always say, don't give up hope....sometimes it takes a few tries before making it to finals.
Big Brother fans are truly THE BEST! Robyn 5/23/2008 10:25:56 AM |

Wednesday there is a press junket where I understand the press will meet the houseguests of BB10. You might want to check out this page http://cbs2.com/bigbrother late Wednesday or Thursday for details. You can visit that site now for info on previous houseguests. 7/1/2008 9:58:46 AM |

ok i can give some details now
I actually did an interview at the Roanoke Rapids call that iphotou posted.
well a few weeks later after that, I got a call from BB10 stating they wanted to do a follow up, so I did a phone interview with them. After that, probably another 2 weeks, I got another call and email late at night asking if I could go to Charleston for the Semi Finals...I drove down, had an on camera interview for about 15 min asking random questions and they were literally trying to piss me off and see what got under my skin.
after the cameras were off I had a little photoshoot and got to sit down and talk with one of the casting directors who I cant say their name, for awhile and they just wanted to get to know me on a personal level. found out that was being recorded later on and I didnt know it.
so they give me these forms, i think one was 25 pages, the other about 15 and ask me to fill them out. I did so.
waited probably...a month, im not sure how long...and got a call about the finals in LA, they asked me what airport i preferred and what not. This was for the finals...not the final CAST.
I had made it that far and got PISSED when i wasnt chosen for the final cast. I thought I had it in the bag...
turns out they were looking for a weird group to put together...with a lot of older people, they said i would ahve been the youngest in the house by FAR and im 22. anyways...they already knew there would be season 11 and told me to be SURE to try out for it...that it wouldnt be as predetermined as far as cast goes that this season was.
and there will be some HUGE changes this season you can believe after talkin with the producers in LA, i cant tell you how that interview process goes though. I can never reveal that or i get sued 5 million bucks because they keep a close watch. but its pretty interesting...days of interviews with directors, old cast, doctors, psychiatrist etc...you get the idea.
anyways...theres what i can tell you. maybe season 11 is my time to shine, who knows. I certainly hope so, that way i wont be so pissed off at this season and their terrible cast. 7/1/2008 5:27:44 PM |

Allison Grodner reveals season secrets to WLBB Posted by Matt Maynard July 1, 2008
WeLoveBigBrother. com spoke exclusively to BB's Executive Producer Allison Grodner Tuesday about the brand new season. While the houseguests may not be in the house yet, Grodner said the work is well underway. "We're getting closer and closer to the big move in day," she said. "We've got the house still getting fixed. I'm watching it right now as we've got a cleaning crew in there right now and we're making it all nice and pretty for the group." Grodner revealed when this group of 13 moves in, they will be complete strangers. "As far as the cast is concerned," she said, "rest assured they are all strangers." They also will be diverse in their backgrounds, points of view and ages. "We have a wide range of ages this year," she said. "There's young, there's old, there's in between, there's parents, there's students, there's people with white collar jobs, blue collar jobs. It's all very different. We've got a lot of very specific types of people in this house, and people who have very extreme points of view than maybe we've had in the past." She said the house will also reflect this diversity. "This year [the house] reflects the cast in all the different places and eras they come from," she said. "It's a very different house, it's not our winter house. This is a very different thing and it goes with the cast." Grodner also confirmed live audiences will return to the show in a different way, as producers wanted to carefully include some successful elements from the show's past. "[We wanted to take] the original concept of the show of strangers moving into a house — with diverse points of view, coming from all places, all different ages, all different walks of life — and try to put that back into play for this special Big Brother 10 season," she said. Don't forget about the twist! Grodner explained it will play out from day one. "The game starts before these people even enter the house," she hinted. "Expect the unexpected. Expect a completely different Big Brother from what you've seen this past year." Grodner has been a part of Big Brother since Season 2. Watch the interview below. Confirmed information: Houseguests coming to town soon Houseguests will be going through press interviews soon Cleaing crew in the house right now "Absolutely all strangers" with diverse points of view and backgrounds All different ages Twists and turns down the road Live audiences will involve fans more than audiences in Season 1 13 houseguests with extreme points of view House represents the "places and eras" that the cast comes from The game starts before the houseguests even go in the house on premiere night 7/2/2008 4:52:31 AM |

Quote : | "'Big Brother 10' Gets Back to Basics 'BB8' alumna recaps each episode exclusively for MSN
"Big Brother" is going old-school for its 10th anniversary, as one of TV's most celebrated reality shows returns to its original concept of a group of strangers living together in a house to battle it out for half a million dollars. "Big Brother 10" premieres Sunday, July 13, at 8 p.m ET/PT on CBS.
"Big Brother 10" follows the moves of 13 houseguests sharing the same camera-and-microphone-laden house. Each week, the houseguests vote each other out of the house one by one until, at the end of the three-month season, there is one person remaining, the winner of the grand prize of $500,000. This summer, unlike in more recent seasons, all 13 houseguests have no prior relationships -- no exes, twins or secret couples. This season, the houseguests range in age from 22 to 75. This season, the "Big Brother 10" house will be a new but traditional-looking home, complete with a rocking-chair-bedecked front porch. The house boasts a lush flower garden, a '60s-style bedroom, an '80s-inspired "punk room" and a classic '50s-style kitchen. Not to worry, a Jacuzzi and swimming pool complete the house's backyard, where so much of the action -- and drama -- takes place. " |

Care to enlighten me? I like memphis and Ollie. I was pulling for Jerry until I heard him repeat his schpeal about how he didn't wear his military gear because of yadda yadda yadda. I think I counted like 6 times he mentioned that. I understand that was important to him, however, it's like, "I get it!!! I get it!!! Quit hitting me with the military hammer, I get it!!!"
April reminds me of that one chick from the last season that was with Ryan. I don't care for her.

yeah - This season has been a snooz fest so far. I'm a huge big brother fan, but they really lack that personality that they usually have that jumps out at you & makes you want to watch to see what will happen next.
Even the girls in this season are not hot..wtf big brother? unless they pull some kind of a twist out of their ass, this will go down as one of my least favorite seasons on record since season 1. 7/30/2008 12:14:43 PM |

Producers have already noticed it was boring. That is why they are implementing America's Player again, even though they said they would NOT do it. They are getting around it by giving the player the opportunity to turn down the offer.....
It is boring...all they do is sit around and talk the whole episode. 7/30/2008 12:22:01 PM |

Keesha is hot!
I do question the mix for people for this cast. Youngest female is Michelle at 28. With the exception of Renny, all of the women are in the same age range (28 to 31). Seems like they should have included at least two women under 25. This would have been more "eye candy", more drama, and more chances for romance.
I do like the two older persons in the house. Jerry knows the game, and is a great mental player. If the physical challenges don't do him in and the younger ones don't tire of "grandpa's stories", I think he may make it to the final six.
Renny got off to a very bad start in the game, but is now more accepted by the others in the house. I cannot see her winning any of the events. I anticipate her leaving within the next 3-4 weeks.7/30/2008 1:57:53 PM |

im starting to think thats what they meant when they told me the house would all be older and it would be tough for me to click, I think they were referring to the females in the house really.
which it makes sense, hard for a 22 year old to do anything with a 30 year old, possible but tough.
next season has already gotten the go ahead, just hope they make it a younger age group and include me
some sites have started thinking jessie is gay, he did a nude pictorial awhile back they found and are starting to question him haha

JT3bucky You are correct about the women, and perhaps why you weren't selected.
I voted for Libra for America's Player. She would definitely take the offer. If America would make her do some very non-Libra actions, it would certainly get the attention of the others in the house, and hopefully lead to a quicker eviction for her. 7/30/2008 2:28:56 PM |

kinda surprised Dan won America's Player. I guess I thought it'd be Jerry.
I love how they showed April, Ollie, and Libra running in the backyard talking about how America must think they're the dumbest BB cast ever for not targeting Jessie.
He is so incredibly arrogant. And it's not justified arrogance (if there is such a thing) like Dr. Will.
I kinda wish he would've been voted out-- although he's one of the few sources of drama in the house, so then it'd be even more dull. 8/1/2008 5:10:23 PM |

Jessie is a decent human being whenever the topic is training and exercise. I've watched him on the feeds train the others in an exercise regiment. When he's doing that, he is all about encouragement and assisting the others.
