The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at North Carolina State University is dedicated to the care and well being of all species of animals. An internal memo concerning the opportunity for CVM faculty, staff and students to adopt nine dogs was recently posted on external websites. We are gratified by the response to this inadvertent posting. Rest assured, the dogs are well cared for, there is no deadline for adoptions, and that standing procedures for successful adoptions are being followed. In fact, several of the dogs have already been adopted by CVM staff and faculty members and we do not anticipate any problems in ensuring all nine dogs find loving homes.

Good to hear! I received an email from a friend with the really awful sounding info and feel a little better about sharing my good university name with the CVM
My only question is how did it get to being the dire tragic situation I received in my email from what sounds like, not such a drastic need internally? 5/27/2008 9:20:23 PM |

I am wondering if the memo did have the original date, but after it go out it became a publicity nightmare so they had to soften up a bit.
Kudos to whoever leaked it. 5/27/2008 9:24:49 PM |

I got the official e-mail, form what I remember there was no deadline. There was a follow up e-mail from a student that implied a deadline. 5/27/2008 10:33:55 PM |
