my father recounts stories to me about my grandfather in ww2 who i never knew. i wouldn't be surprised at all if some of those stories aren't completely accurate, being that they're second-hand. it doesn't mean something nefarious went on. are you guys really assuming that he completely made this story up? it seems like a particularly dumb thing to do. i would assume he probably just screwed-up some details. i don't know. i guess we'll see. i could be wrong and this could be a bullshit story that he made up for political expediency and that would be unfortunate.
