I realize that you are guests in your friend of a friend of a friend's government housing, but I would appreciate it if you actually waited outside for your taxi so that they don't honk for ten minutes straight. My neighborhood is generally quiet since the cops came and arrested the most troublesome of your group. Also, I know you leave those Schlitz cans in my yard.
Thanks, your neighbor

they put government houses in the oddest places...not too far from where i live there's 3 government homes right across the street from a 6000sqft house that was recently built...the rest of the neighborhood, while not that nice, is pretty nice 5/29/2008 2:04:34 PM |

If I am not mistaken, they try not to build some big ass ghetto with all government housing in one area. It's in poor taste. 5/29/2008 2:06:29 PM |

lol
to be fair, though, i haven't heard anything bad about the homes down the street...sometimes their kids leave their toys in the yard, but you'll see that in a suburban white neighborhood of $300k+ homes 5/29/2008 2:09:59 PM |

my neighborhood is like this...
if the average value of the properties in a neighborhood is below a certain point then there are a percentage of the houses that are government houses...
i think there are like 4 in my neighborhood...they are constantly up for sale....then the next thing you know the doors are bolted and there are eviction notices all over the doors and windows...

i'm kinda hoping the government houses will be sold to individuals sometime in the next year or two and raise the property values...because aside from those homes, the rest of the neighborhood is very nice...not baller nice, but "families live here and aren't afraid of their children being shot" nice 5/29/2008 2:26:33 PM |
