Hey guys,

So I recently replaced the transmission and engine! I have a small leak coming from the rear seal from the tranny.

I think it's because the drive shaft is a bit smaller. I really think if I were able to get a larger yolk specifically for the drive shaft I should be fine.

Any suggestions or pointers?

I'm so close to having my baby back and any help I would appreciate. TWW has yet to let me down....this last thing is standing between me and my baby.

would this be considered the rear seal of the transmission? I replaced that seal.....I'm not sure of much else.

I doubt the size is the problem. Just replace the tailshaft seal and you should be good to go. Also look for any dings and scratches on the yolk that could damage the seal.

Congrats on wraping up the motor/trans swap

there is a bit of a gap between the shaft and the seal.

Just to update the thread...

I have the old tranny and the new tranny. They are they exact same thing exact the back part of the tranny. I called Ford today, and talked to the guys there. Recommended I take the back off the old one, replace the bushing in it, and put it back on using a new seal into the new tranny.

Sounds like the new plan and I'm done for this thing for a while.
