Two 12 inch W3v2 subwoofers in a JL Wedge inclosure and a 500/1 RMS amp to power them with all the highest quality cables.
I've had this system for about 2 and a half years now, and I just got a new car and I dont have room for them. Everything is in perfect condition, not a scratch or dent in anything.
These things hit HARD. These are seriously overkill for any nearly any car; I metered my car at 136.7 dB , I still have the receipt if you would like to see it. And just to give you some idea 135 dB is somewhere just above a military rifle, and just below a nearby jet airplane.
That being said, I really didnt run this that hard, and even when I did the Subwoofers are 300 RMS each and I only had a 500 RMS amplifier running them, so you pretty much cant blow these things. Keep in mind also that these are JL Audio, the undisputed king of car audio... Normal systems only display their peak wattage whereas JL Audio knows what is important in a powerful system, the RMS, or Root Mean Squared wattage, which is the average power. So when you see the bazooka speakers at Wal-Mart and they have 1000 Watts, that is just the peak, and they dont hit half as hard as these speakers.
If you are serious about buying these speakers, PLEASE make sure that you can fit them in your car. I have all the dimensions from the JL website right here:

I paid over $1300 for these new, asking $399. No checks please.
If you want pictures I also have a listing on the Facebook Marketplace

Good quality subs. Loved mine when I had them but I think OP overpaid quite a bit. I got a pair for 300 and the amp for another 300 new. 6/3/2008 11:14:38 PM |

Yeah, the reason it sounds like a sales pitch is that I took it straight from my craigslist post.
They are dual coil by the way. 6/4/2008 12:17:47 PM |

Your price is very fair, but you probably aren't going to get it on TWW. Every time 12w3 subs show up, they go for $80-115 each. The amp goes for $200- $250 on ebay.
Also, anyone who really knows audio knows that JL is definately NOT the undisputed king of car audio, just overpriced with above average quality.
As far as retail, for those who ask, the amp is $500, each sub is $250, and the box is $200. Yes, very over priced for good stuff.
That being said, it is an awsome system that will fullfill anyones needs. I wish the OP the best of luck on the sale.
IF you would like them in your new vehicle, I build custom boxes, and can garuntee that I can fit them, and take up minimal space. I have dozens of TWW references if you want them. 6/4/2008 12:57:00 PM |
