She's fat, so she's already at a disadvantage when it comes to the heat.

Usually, she likes to rest all curled up, whether on her side, or on her belly, but lately, I only ever find her as sprawled out as she can get. She hasn't yet begun to gravitate towards AC vents, though.

When I cut my long haired kitty's hair, I put one of the shortest guards on the clippers and basically give him a buzz cut, leaving long hair on his head, feet, and the end of his tail. He feels like warm velvet.

Grits goes towards vents when he comes in from outside. But, he's darker, so he heats up quickly anyway. He has this thing about his armpits though. He puts them on everything - windows, chest freezer, couch, vents, etc. Maybe thats like us putting ice on our wrists... who knows. I have never had a cat shaved though, so why not give it a try!
