The new episode leaked, I think.
Something about Beast with a Billion Backs?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futurama:_The_Beast_with_a_Billion_Backs
Normal release date is June 24th.
It takes place just after Bender's Big Score, so brush up on that before seeing this.

I liked it, I think big score was a little better but BWBB was still really funny. It felt less forced than BBS and more like a normal ep instead of a "oh yeah, we're fucking back" kinda thing 6/9/2008 11:43:40 AM |

even if i downloaded it, i'd still buy it when it came out. its one thing to download some tv show that has already aired, as they've already made money off advertising... if no one bought the dvd, they're only really losing money on dvd production. 6/9/2008 6:31:11 PM |

Quote : | "Futurama: The Beast With a Billion Backs Ramps Up the Raunch By Jenna Wortham
The Beast With a Billion Backs, the sophomore installment in a series of four direct-to-DVD Futurama feature films, revs up the raunch factor for the motley space crew aboard the Planet Express.
No realm of roboanatomy is left unspoofed, no alien sex appendage is left unmentioned in Billion Backs, which will be released Tuesday. The new movie picks up where the first DVD, Bender's Big Score, drops off: The catastrophic space/time rift opened at the end of the first Futurama film has enticed a planet-size polyamorous creature to wreak havoc among Earth's inhabitants.
While Bender's Big Score was a convoluted continuum of space travel riddled with hard-to-decipher inside jokes and oddly placed musical numbers, Billion Backs delivers the kind of futuristic fun that made the Futurama TV show popular. It packs plenty of sharp, punchy one-liners and a plethora of geeky references -- and ups the ante with dirty jokes that wouldn't fly on television.
"It's disturbing," said head writer and executive producer David X. Cohen of Beast With a Billion Backs. "There is certainly more of an adult theme in this film than the average Futurama episode."
To give this installment an extra boost of star power, Cohen recruited Arrested Development star and Mr. Show alum David Cross to voice for the role of the oversexed, tentacled beast Yivo, who becomes infatuated with all the denizens of Earth.
"He's hilarious and has the right amount of natural sleaze in his voice," said Cohen.
Joining Cross is a voice cameo by renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, who gets big laughs for a scene in which his pickled head shoots lasers out of its eyes at an unruly audience of science professors.
Hawking isn't the only guest who reprises a Futurama role. Old-school fans of the show will be able to pick out appearances by the Harlem Globetrotters, Dan Castellaneta's mischievous Robot Satan, evil Richard Nixon's head and those lascivious Amazonian women.
(Watch an exclusive scene from Billion Backs on Wired.com, featuring the Planet Express' first voyage to the tear in the universe.)
"It's been great to see all these old characters brought back into the movie," said Billy West, who voices a number of characters on the show, including intergalactic idiot Fry, doddering Professor Farnsworth and sea creature Dr. Zoidberg. "Not to mention, the original characters have been expounded on a bit more in the [movies]."
Cohen promised the next two feature-length installments will deliver more of the same clever jokes, character cameos and boundary-pushing topics as Billion Backs.
"We have a lot more license to press the outer boundaries of content, because there's no network limitations," said Cohen.
Cohen described the third Futurama DVD, Bender's Game (currently in post-production), as a fantastical adventure to an alternate universe to get to the bottom of the high prices of dark matter, which is used as fuel in the 30th century. Audiences will see characters in a whole new way: "Each character is transformed into these astounding medieval characters," said Cohen. "It's visually stunning."
Bender's Game is tentatively scheduled to hit around the end of 2008, with the fourth DVD -- Into the Wild Green Yonder -- slated for 2009.
Will Wild Green Yonder be the last chapter of the animated cult classic? Cohen has his fingers crossed that the success of the DVD releases could lead to a revival of the canceled Fox show.
Though he insists he's "heard nothing," Cohen said he isn't ruling anything out.
"Bender's Big Score did really well, so it's truly up in the air," he said. "I will no longer rule out any possible means of coming back to life, whether through more DVDs, webisodes or episodes.... I'm cautiously hopeful."

I admit, I'm a prude.
Disappointed to hear that they ramped up the vulgarity of the show. Futurama can still be funny without resorting to "since it's taboo/controversial to say or do, it must be funny".
Guess I'll have to see for myself. 6/25/2008 8:46:03 AM |

I thought the first 3/4 of it were incredible, but the last 20 or so minutes kind of dragged a bit.
If they break it up into episodes the last one is going to suck.
