Fuck putting this in the NBA thread...he's an alum. That would make Nate, Sidney, and Del Negro as former NC State players coaching/have coached in the NBA. Not too bad.

On a sarcastic note...maybe he can suck it up for two years, go on to coach as an assistant for a championship team, then we can hire him in five years.

Interesting choice...

The Bulls have a lot of talent on that team; they were fun to watch the last couple of years (before this past season). It'll be interesting to see if he can turn them back around.

i guess they're taking a stab at an unknown coach who COULD be the next big thing, instead of a relatively proven coach like Flip or Avery where you know they'll give you a good regular season and choke in the playoffs (see: Jerry Sloan)

And to the original post we will probably need a new coach after next year so I doubt the Bulls can Vinny after one year. Would be a possibility later I'll bet.
