There are two scenarios where I'm okay with inflicting a high level of pain, and only one where I'm okay with drawing blood.

The first is if I'm playing with someone who genuinely likes pain. I do (I like both inflicting and receiving it), and he doesn't. Therefore, if he tells me something hurts, I lay off. The other person has to enjoy it before I can. No blood involved. A safe, controlled situation is so much fun.

The other is if my well-being is in immediate danger. I'd like to avoid ever drawing blood through a defensive bite, because there's no telling what diseases the other might have, but I'd feel no remorse in seriously injuring someone who is fucking with me: they brought it on themselves. Should I ever be in danger, I want not only to get away unharmed, but I want the other person still and heavily wounded.
