If anyone wants to try and roll 2 v 2 in Zero Hour, I'm down.

Your favorite was the worst one of the entire series.

Yes, even worse than Generals. (which was actually pretty fun IMO, but not like the others at all)

And as I have said before, Hell March is the greatest video game music of all time

I never liked Red Alert or Red Alert 2. They differ from the original series as much as Generals and Zero Hour does.

They were fun, but I've played a whole hell of a lot more of Gens or Tiberium Sun.

Red Alert Intro:

Tiberium Sun Intro with James Earl Jones:

Red Alert 2 Intro better than the first:

Generals Intro which is badass:

Had them all, played them all. Tiberian Sun Series is by far THE BEST EVAR (except tiberium sun, total disappointment ). Red alert series were easy to pwn people online, imo, however VERY fun.. I didn't care much for Generals. I can't wait for RA3. C&C Tiberium War III is fantastic. I absolutely love the game although people refuse to play with me as Scrin. WTF SERIOUSLY? WTF IS SO SCARY ABOUT THE DAMN SCRIN!?!?!?!

I've recently been playing skrims in Generals with the max amount of brutal opponents. My turtling strategies still work. I'm going to have to get a copy of C&C3 again, that shit was fun too.

Having not yet played C&C3, what happens to Kane in this one? I'm going to be highly disappointed if they went with the dumbass CABAL clone explanation from Firestorm.

I believe that I told my girlfriend I had to work really late a couple of times just so that I could play Red Alert 2. That is all behind me now.

Actually the story line was pretty cool. I didn't think it was too cheesey. The story line in Kane's Wrath is much more "serious" and is very nicely done. I definately enjoyed it and would rank it right up there as one of the must play RTS.

Oh and in C&C3, there are a few faces/actors/actresses you'll recognize... Some are from BSG

Cabal is mentioned in Kane's Wrath and it ties in a little with TS just because, well, you are playing the historical side of NOD and you are continuing off from the previous TS war. Its really cool because some old units come out like the GDI titan and wolverine, NOD stealth artillery, etc... I REALLY enjoyed Kane's Wrath and hope that EA Games will come out with a GDI or Scrin equivalent expansion pack. And for what it's worth, I feel like the game has pretty good balance. Its not like in RA2 where you can just build an army of Prism tanks and pretty much rule anyone with it. In another words, a good balance of infantry and armored vehicles helps with a more well rounded/powerful force. Just get C&C3 and Kanes Wrath together for like $40 at Best Buy. Totally worth it.

I love me some C&C. Westwood being acquired by EA was the saddest news I had ever heard in my life. Totally changed the series, too. I like C&C: Generals but it was not like any C&C before it (in some bad ways, IMO, like the lack of decent cut scenes or a more compelling story line).

All I can say is that RA3 is going to have fucking armored bears. Assuming they let what's left of westwood put the game together, it just might be what I'm hoping for.

Since I picked up the series at C&C:RA I haven't played the original C&C, but have played tiberian sun and those related expansions. Didn't play C&C 3 because I wasn't as big a fan of that storyline (though if I had played C&C...).

My favorite thing to do in Red Alert was to edit the game.ini file randomly and change shit around. I didn't do anything crazy, but I liked to make stuff more realistic. Made cannon ranges and damage more realistic. Some vehicles went faster, others slower. Harvesters could carry 2x as much, which made gameplay more tolerable when you'd been playing for a while.

I never was a fan of person versus person gameplay in any of the C&C series though. I liked to play against a bunch of brutal AI's and to see how long I could last, or if I could defeat them with teammates. It's a lot of fun when you're doing like a 3 v 5 match with 5 brutally hard AI's. Turns the game into a survival horror RTS, lol.

^^^^ Yeah, but even when the computer is set to brutal, they have attack patterns. As long as you can catch on to it and counter it quick enough, you're all set. At least with a human, there can be "mistakes" (ie: bad judgement call to attack or retreat...) Plus you can piggy back attack strats and communicate. Sometimes computer bashing can be fun

Yeah I guess. I got tired of trying to do player vs player games though, then I'd get paired with somebody who was really useless, or who did something retarded, then we'd lose. Drove me nuts after a while so I stuck to comp stomps.

I only played the original C&C back in the Dos days, and Red Alert 1. Original C&C needed a skirmish mode, but it was fun until you ran out of tiberium. Red Alert was great but the only problem was how unbalanced it seemed... the Tesla coils and mammoth tanks made the soviets too strong.
