Man, my mom was like the perfect mother.

I have a hard time thinking of anything that my mom could have done better while raising me. It made me think all moms were like that, then I would be surprised when one of my friends told me something selfish or stupid his or her mom had done.

if i ever do anything....whether its accidentally drop a fork on the floor at dinner or bring home a 4.0 gpa, my mom acts like i'm the worst person in the world and that the world is ending due to my stupid actions.

and since i'm living at home this summer i try to offer to help. like i try to help with dinner and like a spice falls out of the spice cabinet and she goes "god damn it all!!! no one in this house ever does anything right"

her mom is for real scary. super uptight, and definitely needs to be on anti-depressants (at the very least). actually, her entire family is uptight. i don't know how anyone lives like that. if katherine even says anything sarcastic to her brother, her mom gets upset for no reason at all

my mom is pretty great though. my only complaint is that she is way too hardcore christian.

My mom is the ultimate Olympic Gold Champion of nagging. Seriously, she can turn a 5 minute convo on the phone into a one hour talk-fest simply because she feels the need to repeat herself literally like 6-7 times about everything. She still thinks I'm 8 or something and while she may think it's cute I think it's the most annoying fucking thing in the world.

hahaha i disagree. i like living FAR away. 2 miles is too close. even being in another city is almost too close. i got along the best with them when i lived in another state. i could come home for short visits and nothing bad would happen. kinda like the first 3-4 days i was home this summer. she was fine. now...not so much.

My mom's insane, but in the happy way. She somehow decided working 9-5 as a virologist and still practicing judo 3 times a week wasn't enough for her, so she went and got certified as an EMT, and is putting in volunteer hours at the Wake Forest fire station, in between bouts of drinking and yelling at hockey. She can kick your ass, patch you back up again, and then drink you under the table.

But she likes things like hockey, so somehow all that coolness seems to get canceled out.
