they used to, but yes, the inline 6 was a better engine....

I was thinking more along the lines of 6 cylinders

lots different claims.

crossovers get around 20-22 in city and 24-27 on highway.

4runners
pathfinders

not just limited to V6s, inline works

3 cyl in front and 3 cyl in rear also works. durr

my 98 Cherokee (RIP) lifted on 31s with the I6 4.0L got around 15mpg.

If you drive hard you will get roughly the same mileage from the V8 as V6 on ford exploders. The V8 just accelerates harder.

My '05 six-speed Wrangler with an I6 4.0 on 31s gets 16-17 mpg.

if you're gonna give some MPGs please list whether its city/highway. its kinda obvious, but you never know.

Saturn VUE V6.
22-26town / 30-32hwy.

2004 and newer V6 have the Honda motor
Don't get AWD - drops you to about 16/22.

Why bother? Why drive a freakishly small vehicle that only gets a few mpg better city/highway rating than a safer, more conventional car. I'd recommend a Fit instead of a smart.

Only real use for a smart car is in an extreme urban environment, like NYC or London.
