Dr. Stephenson on Wake Forrest Rd.

Cut two and pulled two wisdom teeth in one surgery.

Great surgery, no pain, no swelling.

welp.....
get medication for it. cause it hurts
you're probably going to be looking like a chipmunk for a few days
or like the caricature on the front of Big League Chew bubble gum

jello and soup will be your friends

and pray that what happened to me doesn't happen to you:
I received local anesthetic as well as an IV. Well, about 5 minutes into the operation, one of those two wore off.....and I could feel him slicing away at my gums, breaking my teeth, and pulling fragments out. I mustered up enough strength to tell him "OWWWW. WHAAAAARGGBLEEE AAAGHLABRLAHAAAH SPLASH SLOBBER LAHGRUALAHSLYSA SLOBBER" which means "OWWW. MAN, I CAN FEEL THAT!"

then he upped my dosage

I'm worried about mine, but my guy's mom is a dental hygienist and she's told him all about giving me excellent care.

ive had 8 teeth pulled, i was awake

4 wisdom teeth surgically removed, i was asleep

2 root canals, laughing gas - that shit is awesome

getting teeth pulled is prob one of the worse sensations... i did not like it, it didnt hurt but i just thought it was icky,

^^^^yea I've heard horror stories about that on 20/20, and these people were undergoing major surgery on their hearts and shit

the dentist who pulled my 8 teeth was responsible for my needing two root canals...
he hurt me a lot with other stuff

the endodontist who gave me the root canals was awesome, looked like my boyfriend except much dreamier, and when i told him i was "fine" under the laughing gas, he was like "heck, lemme let you sit with it a while, its a good high isnt it?" lololol, i love him so much

HEY
HERE's HOW IT WORKS.

TELL THAT DENTIST YOU DON'T WANT TO BE AWAKE AND YOU DON'T WANT TO FEEL ANYTHING. THEY WILL STICK AN IV OF VALIUM IN YOUR ARM. I KNOW VALIUM DOESN'T REALLY DO SHIT IN PILL FORM, BUT IN IV FORM IT KNOCKS YOU OUT LIKE A LITTLE BITCH.

THEN THEY START BREAKING YOUR TEEFS UP AND PULLING THEM OUT. YOU MAY OR MAY NOT WAKE UP DURING THIS PROCEDURE. THE BEST PART IS THAT IF YOU WAKE UP YOU'LL JUST BE LIKE "DAYUM...THEY'S PULLING MY TEEFS OUT" BUT YOU WON'T REALLY CARE.

YOU
WON'T
REALLY CARE

AND THAT'S HOW IT IS. FO' REAL.

Yeah I had all 4 of mine surgically removed. I highly recommend being knocked out for this surgery, you do not want to hear and see the things needed to remove your teeth.

they cant use nitrous for everything

if you're having them surgically removed (they havent grown in yet) then i'd def get knocked the fuck out and yes it is worth every penny of $500 to not hear your freakin bones crack

if youre just having them pulled they'll load you up with novocaine - not as fun

Nope, but I had 4 root canals cause of an elbow I caught in the face playing basketball. Didn't really bother me, but I've been told that root canals hurt worse.

I had a root canal and it was not all that unpleasant. I haven't had my wisdom teeth out though, and I hope I don't have to.

Not gonna lie, hurt like a bitch. Mine were impacted and had to be cut and then yanked out. Only thing that saved me was the pain meds that knocked me out for like 2 days straight.

4 wisdom and 4 others for braces....only thing that really sucked was when they pulled the 4 for braces, I had to come back the next day because they maxed out on the numbing medicine...kinda sucked....

Wisdom teeth they put me under for and when I woke up I immediately threw up blood. I was worried about the dry sockets but I never got them.

I guess they will show you the video that you could die due to getting them pulled....

well if you dont have insurance you want to be awake because its gonna cost about 165 more to be knocked out. i had third tooth from wisdom pulled on bottom i didnt feel a thing when they hooked up the nitrous to me. only time it hurts is about 2-3 hours after when the meds wear off. they give you a pretty good prescription for the pain as well. but get used to letting blood drop out of your mouth every two hours when you change your gause pads. do not spit or you yell or put and stress on your mouth at all or you risk tearing your stiches out. good luck

2 pulled (2ndary incisors baby teeth)
and 3 surgically removed (2 bottom wisdom teeth and one upper one)

none of them very bad, the last one hurt the most even though it took the least amount of time
