They are cute, funny to watch, and they would require little maintenance. Their kidneys are so efficient they don't even need water, they get all their hydration from food.

you have to be very careful what you feed them. if you feed them foods high in protein they will dehydrate and die

Actually I saw it at the zoo a few years back and wanted it.

But Snewf's thread about the mouse reminded me of it.
