Van Halen was the only band that had elements of hair metal that wasn't complete ass.

Motley Crue is a kickass rock band. Warrant and Skid Row each put out a number of solid songs. Many other bands at least nailed it once, even if most of their stuff sucked.

There is some really shitty hair metal, and some really good hair metal...but then again, I like some really, really widely varying music.

at a minimum, the hair bands were--on average--way better than the Matchbox 20 and Nickleback shit we've been subjected to for the last decade.

i don't disagree, i just have particular problems with that gnr sound, even if they were pretty much around in the same decades. i guess gnr will live longer if chinese democracy ever comes out.

speaking of... i read like the 10th review on that last like 2 months ago, any truth to it comng out or the whole dr pepper thing? if that came out and turned out to be better than the rest, i'll start saying EPIC on the internet!

i'm just fairly confident that Axl will make it suck big time. that's half of why GNR broke up--Axl was determined to change GNR's sound to make it sound shitty, and the rest of them wanted to sound, well, like GNR (and preferably more like Appetite)

Yeah, this song doesn't sound like GNR much at all. The singer has the grit, but that's about it.
