I want one of those arcade machines that have like 100 games on them.
kind of like this, but I wouldn't pay that much for one.

Yea it is too bad because even the really old crappy arcade games are around $600-$1,000.
Not to mention trying to ship them. 9/4/2008 9:30:52 AM |

If you want to get an arcade machine, go here:
October 18th, 2008 Dixie Classic Fairgrounds Education Building 410 Deacon Blvd Winston-Salem, NC 27105 336-727-2236
Huge auction with (usually) a couple of hundred arcade cabinets in various states of quality, plus pinball machines, jukeboxes, etc. Last one I went to had Video games going for as little as $50 for a working game. Granted, that wasn't a classic, but still. They had decent cabinets of classic games (ms. pac-man, galaga, DK, etc.) going for between $250-$600. And the best part of all is that all of the games are turned on and set to free play. So basically it is like going to a super awesome, classic arcade with unlimited quarters. Might want to take a drop cord, but beyond that, you should be good to go!

Check craigslist often I see them pop up from time to time and FWIW there are usually more in Charlotte than Raleigh. There's also a guy somewhere in Princeton (out in Johnston county) that's been advertising on CL but he has few classics and he's WAY overpriced.
You could always build your own like this guy http://rototron.info/default.aspx 9/4/2008 10:16:32 AM |

that looks ridiculously expensive and complicated to build.
Wonder how much it would cost to buy a 6 player X-men machine? 9/4/2008 1:06:51 PM |
