Actually Fecal Coliform is a bacteria that is typically tested for in domestic water systems that when indicated COULD be there because there of fecal matter in the water. However, this does not mean that there IS fecal matter in the water.

Also, the water would not appear discolored or anything. Nor would there be any taste differences.
