What is the worst injury you've witnessed personally? I guess if it happened to you, it counts...I have 2. One was a motorcycle accident about 10 yrs ago that happened about 40-50 feet in front of me. Dude flipped forward over the hood of the car, rolled in a somersault and then hit his face on the pavement. Good thing he had on a full helmet. The other was during a flag football game, I actually heard and saw a guy's hamstring snap. There was a loud pop and all the muscle bunched up and made it look like an extra buttcheek or something on his right leg. I'm not sure I've ever heard a grown man scream out in pain like that. Was pretty crazy. You?[Edited on June 26, 2008 at 12:05 AM. Reason : i]

Well besides the 6 people killed in front of me after the State-Uva game in '03...In high school a kid lost an edge on my hockey team and went right into another kid who was turned the other way in the corner and he snapped his femur. Bone was sticking out the wrong direction... it almost made me puke...and my post probably inspired this thread...[Edited on June 26, 2008 at 12:07 AM. Reason : x]

You were an EMS, that is to be expected.I was on my way to a bar after a State football game, when we stopped because there was a tiny accident and people were helping move it to the side... and then BAM... but I'm sure most State students know all about that accident.^ I gave my example, lady... it was similar to yours. broken femurs are no joke.[Edited on June 26, 2008 at 12:13 AM. I heard this from a responding fireman in greensboro...Motorcyclist was traveling WAAAY too fast down Friendly Ave. headed out of town. For those of you not familiar with the area, there is a quirky turn right at the top of a hill near Aycock street. Cresting the hill you immediately make a fairly sharp turn to your right to continue on Friendly as it crosses over Aycock (Friendly on a bridge, Aycock below). Speed limit is 35. The policeman on the scene clocked the guy in the triple digits... As the fella' crested the hill at triple-digit speed his bike became airborne, flying himself approximately 3 stories over the guard rail and into Aycock traffic where he got acquainted with the pavement. Firemen said 90% of it was pick up some body parts and spray off the rest with the hoses. Nothing but a greasy smear....

Oh hell... I forgot about Saturday before last. Playing ball, this guy goes up to block a shot and gets bridged. He comes down hard on the floor. He gets up and a bone is sticking out of the palm of his hand. He was pretty hardcore too. Just walked out after dapping everyone up and just looked kind of annoyed.

A scambling quarterback in high school got tied up by someone and was hopping around on one foot looking for someone to throw to when I got a free shot and heard a rib break.
