I guess for me having to reformat would be the worst thing as a result of spyware/malware/virii in a p2p game download...anyone had it worse?

srsly though, I never had a file sharing disaster, but I had to wipe my computer due to a virus once.

I did something similar with winamp. I set it up so i could control winamp on my desktop from my laptop. Then whenever i had people come over they would get on my computer and play music. I would sit on my couch and fuck with them by telling them to quit changing the song and to stop turning it up or down.

The funniest person I found to do this to was Paerabol
