think of the bible as a book of guidelines, rather than hard-and-fast rules
i'm a pretty devout christian and even i don't take it verbatim

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Christians are more evangelical by nature, and although Judaism and Christianity both frown upon it, Christians are more likely to voice their disapproval, in attempts to bring "light into the darkness." Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't know I've ever seen a flyer about converting to Judaism, much less had someone approach me with conversion in mind. 6/26/2008 3:58:31 PM |
