luckily i have the July 2008 issue of carolina parent in front of me so here we go to page 57: the family calendar.
so we have the museums in raleigh: history, natural sciences, art museum (probably not so much, but on fridays and some saturday nights they have movies outside in the theatre and its only 3 bucks), marbles kids museum (with the imax theatre), then the life and sciences museum in durham, pullen park, any of the public pools (optimist??), the planetarium in chapel thrill (i think thats where it is), durant nature park, on July 4th there's a festival of the Eno River in durham, 1.50 movie theatre, a movie in general
on saturdays: the holly springs branch library has free family movies starting at 10:15 on sundays: capital city bmx race day (lions park community center in raleigh), and at the broad street cafe in durham theres children's performers (magicians, storytellers, musicians) starting at 4:30.
and...here is the link to the carolina parent website haha http://www.carolinaparent.com/ 6/29/2008 2:25:01 PM |

Carolina Sportsplex has shut down.
In other news, the art museum is great for kids, assuming they can keep their hands to themselves. It's only in large groups that children (and adults) turn into a blathering mob at a place like the art museum. 6/30/2008 4:29:15 PM |
