I've taken to wearing two DSLRs at once to switch between my 17-55mm and my 70-200mm. It just gives me a lot of leverage, distributes the battery life, and switching my sb-600 flash from one body to another isn't a problem (you've just gotta make sure both cameras are synchronized timewise).

Anyway, each time I do this, I end up fucking with the straps while on the job. I'm getting used to the routine - tonight was my second time doing this at a wedding - so it wasn't as much of a nuisance, but I am still having the same problem with the straps pinching my neck after several camera switches. I'm basically just tucking one inside the other depending on which one's on top (I've set the straps at two different lengths so the bodies don't collide) and which one I want to use, but I also like having them side by side because then I can just pick up one up, use it, let it drop, pick the other up on the side, and let it drop down on the same side... If I get a free second then I just raise up the whole kit-n-kaboodle off of my neck and re-arrange the straps (and roll my head if I have another free second, it's pretty damn heavy).

Any ideas on how to streamflow this? Maybe I can just by some thinner straps.

Perhaps try using a hand strap with one of them.

Like wrap the strap of one camera around my hand and just let it swing?

If I have two cameras out at once, I put them over my neck and shoulder so they are hanging at the side, one on each side. This doesn't let them bang into each other or get tangled up too bad.

But if I'm doing that then I have the SB800 on one camera and am using the other with existing light so that's less complications.

to help distribute the weight better, you should look for wider straps, not thinner ones

The few times I have worn two cameras, I sling them over my head and one arm (diagonal across the body)

With this, i can let one drop and it swings under my arm and out of the way of the other.

Wearing a collared shirt helps with skin-pinching caused by the straps

I think you would look sexy in a fanny pack.
