What part of Firefox produces sound normally? Or are you having a problem with embedded Flash content or embedded WMV or QT movies?

What operating system are you using? You might check and see if you have application specific volume controls (I know for a fact that Vista can manage sound at the application level).

I suggest reinstalling Flash.

... and yes, Google video is most definitely Flash. Right click on one, you'll see.

At least yours is somewhat functional, I installed FF3 twice, both times I was unable to click on any links in the browser, not even the close window/min/max buttons. So I'm back with FF2 for a while.

uninstall using the tool from their page and then reinstall.

but it won't help. i've had that issue and it resolved itself once i upgraded browsers.

I have been having the same problem with firefox. It's kind of annoying when I'm trying to watch youtube or listen to music on myspace.
