Does everyone agree this is the "make or break" season for this show?

after that "second season" i really have lost my interest in this show. But i've seen ever episode so I will continue to watch. But i do agree, this season could make or break its future and really show what a complete disaster nbc has become.

I'll say yes it is make or break. I'm pretty sure the reason that Season 2 sucked so much was because of the writer's strike. It had potential to be really good, but they blew it. But Season 1 was so awesome that it deserves a second chance.

So when is the season premiere?

Unfortunately with the writers block season 2 very much fell apart. I def think this is a make or break season, but I bet even if numbers drop, they will give it another season.

I am looking fwd to it and think it will def make a strong comeback and regain strength.

I thought season 2 had some good qualities but overall it was lacking the intensity of the first season. They'll definitely come back around for the third. However, I don't think they should drag this show out too long. I mean I don't want a season 7 of Heroes.

what happened from season 1 to 2?

Was it the constant cliff hanger episodes? The fact that it was just so "new"? What made season 1 leaps and bounds greater than season 2?

The few things I can think of:
1) Hiro was out way too long
2) NO one cared about clark kent and claire
3) started introducing a few too many heroes to keep up

I think a big part of it was that Sylar wasn't there to stir things up. He spent like a year driving back from Mexico with those two people that nobody cares about. And the whole time he didn't have his powers so we knew that he probably wouldn't be meeting any of the regulars since he was powerless and they could easily defeat him.

They need to bring back Elle and get rid of all the other new characters added last season and keep Nikki dead.

However, they keep showing Ali Larter in the previews, so who fucking knows. They'll probably just make the show even worse.

they need to just kill everyone but bennett and give him his own show & also revive veronica mars so we can continue to see kristen bell.

I want to see more Monica. I hope they find a way to keep her. Definitely looking fwd to this season. I think the writer-strike was a blessing in disguise for this show.

I just watched the three-part webisode NBC released back in July.

I've read and heard a lot of potential spoilers about the season (well, the early part). They leave me on the fence. However, a renewed Sylar presence, coupled with a slew of other bad guys, makes me tilt towards the "awesome" side of that fence.

We tried to go ahead and set up the DVR tonight to record it next week, but Time Warner's schedule ends at 8:00 PM 9/22 -- exactly when the god damned thing is supposed to start.

I liked season 2

Its probably because I hated the Nikki/Tyrone(?) couple. Never believed it for a second. The only thing I didn't like about season 2 was the Micha's cousin's story. The power was cool, but the whole Katrina relief thing made me want to punch my tv.

Normally, yes, but the season premiere is longer than usual (2 hours, I think) and starts at 8:00, according to commercials.

I just watched seasons one and two on DVD through netflix... i wish that we could have seen the whole virus being released/quarantine scenario instead of what we got.
