my brother had one, it was pretty expensive all things considered--you'd prolly be better off with a water filter, one of the brita pitches or something of the same ilk

I wish the water line on my fridge would stop freezing up.

That plus a water line filter would be ftw.

My folks have one at their place at the beach because the tap water tastes weird. It's nice to have.

i got a pur water filter but its like one of those big things with a tap so you dont have to pull out a pitcher or whatever you can just pull the tap. the pur was actually cheaper than the brita at target so i got taht... ran me about 30 bucks and works awesome

another way to save money is just save your water bottles and refill them with water from the filter

i got pur and its the shit. i fill up my office cooler jug with it all the time. i by the 3 pack of filters for 40 bucks and that filters about 300 gallons of water, so water at a buck a gallon i feel like i am stealing water.

food lion water cost a buck a gallon. thats about the best price you can pay for a gallon of jugged water unless you have a filter system. if you are buying bottled water it cost way more.

I am not above drinking tap water, it is just that I don't have an ice maker and I like it cold.

like this?

i never understood why these things had a red and a blue tap. the water never tastes different (temp wise) from either. or maybe the one i use is just broken? or maybe it isn't for temperature and i'm stupid

yes, yours is broken or not plugged in.

red and blue are pretty universal indicators of temp.

^^you have to pull the red tap out or in or something different to get the hot water to work...

then you have water the temperature of the fucking sun instantly....

i think ours at work has a blue tap and a white tap... there's not really any difference in temp between those two... we can get hot water out of the coffee brewer though

then just put the tap water in a container and put said container in the fridge and save loads of cash.

My parents used to have one they got from a water delivery company. They originally got it for hurricanes but we haven't had one of those in a long time

I think they used this company: http://shop.diamondsprings.com/product_list.asp?o=6&h=1

I have one of these nifty water cooler things at home!

Got the cooler/base at Sam's Club and I just get the jugs of water at Lowes or the grocery store. They are like $14 to buy the first one, but then only $5 each time you turn your jug in. It has helped me drink more water! I hate water, but seeing it there and having it deliciously cold makes me wanna drink it.
