my internship advisers boss took me and my internship advisor out to lunch...during said lunch she tells me how much she appreciates my hard work etc(which surprised me cause i feel as though i'm not doing enough)

anyways, she gives me a card...i didnt want to open it at the table so i waited til we got back to the office...i opened it and the card had $100 in it....in my opinion, this is a little more than a "thanks for the money!" type things...what do yall think i should do to properly thank her? i feel i'm really bad at seeming gracious and i want to do something that shows her I am truly thankful....i'm not going to say anything today because I want to act like I didnt open it until i got home...but tomorrow the only thing i thought of so far was coming in super happy and giving her a big giant hug and telling her thanks...should i like get her a card or bake her some cookies or something?

A thank you card isn't necessarily out of the question. Make sure to drop it in her inbox or send it out by mail, though. Write something in it that's more personalized than "Thanks for the gift, -Me".

Well, I did for all my relatives that sent me a card to congratulate me on graduating. It's a bit more of a tricky situation since you can just thank her in person, but the formal way to thank somebody for a gift is to send them a written thank you note.
