Basically WRAL is having a poll for the best ACC Basketball team ever. After the Sweet 16 polling was closed State had the 1973, 1974, and 1983 teams move on, but WRAL and the douchebags that they are said there was some ballot box stuffing and redid the results so that 4 UNC teams would move on. One of those replaced our 1983 team. So we must unite and skew this poll again for the 1973 and 1974 teams.

A little background on the 1973 and 1974 teams for those that don't know about them. The 1973 and 1974 State teams went a combined 57-1 and undefeated in conference play two years in a row, which is the best two year mark of any ACC school ever. No other ACC team has ever gone undefeated in back-to-back years. The 1974 team won the national championship and only lost to UCLA during a regular season matchup at the Checkerdome in St. Louis. They would get their revenge though against college basketball's greatest dynasty when they beat them in the semifinals of the NCAA tournament that year. The 1973 team although posting a 27-0 mark could not compete in the NCAA tournament b/c Dean Smith had Bill Gutheridge call his old Kansas State roommate that happened to be an official for the NCAA and complain about David Thompson playing in a pickup game with assistant coach Biedenbach AFTER Thompson already committed. The NCAA ruled this as an illegal tryout and put State on probation, which was bullshit and nowadays wouldn't have gotten even a slap on the wrist, especially if it was UNC. The 73 team was actually probably better than the 1974 team due to senior leadership from the two co-captains guard Joe Cafferky and forward Rick Holdt, but obviously it's well known that they weren't allowed to compete in the NCAAs.
