In fairness to Van Susteren, she is attempting to fill a slot that has become known as "crime time" instead of prime time. It's been done with some success on CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, and ABC--this network even has a show now called Primetime Crime.

It should come as no surprise that FOX News is also trying to capitalize on the crime obsession. Frankly, it sells--I mean, why the hell have there always been so many cop shows? It sells.

A bit off topic: I'll bet Republican18 even has some TV cop that caused him to start thinking about going into law enforcement. So, who is it?

I'll tell you one of my all-time favorites. . .

but you know what? outside of primary and general election returns, i don't watch CNN either. i don't watch any broadcast or cable news channels.

and why should i? i get more quantity and quality news and commentary from radio and the internets. and i get my fill of frothy conservative knee-jerk numnuts from TDub. what do I need TV for?
