My cell phone screen.

I got a series of harassing texts today (which are quite funny and I'd be happy to share if I can get these pics taken)

I'm trying to take pictures of the screen with a camera but nothing is working. Any ideas?

Just take the pictures NOT using a flash.

If they are too dark, increase the exposure. If they are too light, decrease the exposure.

that's a good start.. the short reading i've done says with a data cable + right software you can take real screenshots but not finding enough details to tell you how to do it (and its not worth that much trouble)

yeah i tried taking pics without the flash and for the picture they sent me, that worked fine

but for the text part it wasnt readable at all

i tried going into the pantry with the light off and waited for the screen to dim and do that without the flash but no dice on that either

what kind of camera? if it's a regular little point and shoot are you using macro mode?

yeah its a point and shoot and i have no idea what mode i am using

i am trying to use the camera phone on my work phone and i think it might work. i'm emailing it to myself now to see how clear it is

gotcha.. there's a button somewhere that should look like a flower most likely.. makes it good for taking pictures of close up (like 1-2' away).
