was that the place in the avent ferry shopping center? next to pearl? because if it was, i hadad never heard one good thing about the place, and that was coming from 5 or more different people

Just never got my favor as a local Mexican place. Armadillo Grill seems better, but it's more of a franchise.

well, i went to the "new" place tonight for the first time. place fucking sucks, couldn't get the order right. food was bland. will definitely not be going back. too bad, place used to be decent and fairly cheap. now just sucks. Really though, the stupid shit is that everyone in there now speaks perfect fluent english and yet they couldn't get my order right when the people that used to work their never got it wrong and only spoke about 12 words of english.

in the 8 times i've been there over the past 6 months, the service got progressively worse and the food had gone from pretty good to pretty average to sub par

every time i was there (weekdays), it was the same 2 waitresses the perpetually forgot to come by the table or served the wrong thing (even when my friend who's fluent ordered in spanish)

we went twice since it opened under new management and it seemed like it was new bosses getting mad at the same two waitresses who were there under the "old" management

we've since forsaken it and take drive out to fiesta mexicana at swift creek and chow down on some white sauce and chips
