Where is it at? I've done Olive Green and India Mahal. Would like somewhere new but not too far from the NCSU area.

Suchi Indian in Cary (Chatham) is pretty good, buffet isn't too badly priced (lunch only)

Royal India on Glenwood is alright too, I've only been there for dinner menu though. They have some spicy items.

^^I love their chickpea and spinach dishes, and they have amazing prices. I never tried the buffet before I moved though- but it looked tasty.

yes, it's excellent, but is it still open? I tried to go a few months ago, and they had closed down. Did they re-open?

It's not bad, but they got a really bad sanitation score a few months back.

It was good, but I definitely spent a good long while on the toilet crying afterwards.

Is it true Indians worship cow poop and use it for cleaning, disinfecting, and deordorizing. Perhaps this is the cause of the odd smell in EB2

I like Udupi a lot better than Suchi, plus it's all vegetarian if you care about such things. They've gotten a lot of bad reviews on CitySearch recently so don't know if anything has changed. It's in the next shopping center from Suchi if you're traveling west on Hillsborough/Chatham.

Royal India is great, just don't park your car with an "EAT BEEF" front license plate right in front of the restaurant.

Suchi's south indian cuisine is far more authentic, it's just like my mom's cooking.

I also dislike udupi's vegetarian-ness.

I like Udipi...they can get quite inventive with Veggie indian food. I like Azitra, India Palace II (although only good when the owner is in town), hmmm I heard Kandas is really good...i need to try it though.

there is a place on 51 a couple doors down from the bagel place (I believe it is a manhattan bagel now). Same shopping center where there used to be a movie theater when I grew up... it's two blocks up from kettering drive (where nakato's is) if you are driving towards carolina place. whenever I go back to Charlotte, I make sure to stop by and get some food there. Called "Bombay __" - maybe kitchen? I don't remember... half of these restaurants have Bombay or Mahal in their name... I get em all confused
