Budweiser goes to europe, Chrysler Building goes to Abu dabi, Olympics go to China, Dreamworks goes to Saudi arabia, Our biggest banks are mosly owned by middle easterners, and apple pie was discovered to have come from england.

so whats next, do you think this is worse than the 80's when the japanese were buying up stuff left and right?

they over hype everything on CNN. I saw that CNN report about the 100mpg gasoline mustang v8 a while ago and thought it was the stupidest thing ever because of word play. I uses 85% ethanol and only 15% gasoline so in theory it works... minus the abundant ethanol usage and much lower mpg overall...

the local stations are annoying to start with. CNN and their ilk take the drama, sensationalism, and 'oh, if we sound all excited, this item is MUCH more newsworthy!' to a new, nearly fanatical level. That, and they just don't seem to intent on bothering to cover more than 3 items at once

The reason I was happy to walk out of the blood center wasn't because that bigass needle was out of my arm, or because I could move around again (platelet donation keeps you still for an hour or so, with a needle in your arm the entire time).

It was because I didn't have to hear CNN any more.
