No, this is a movie you have to see in theaters. It is incredible.

I just wish I could've seen it in IMAX

it's in downtown, right by the science museum and sort of across from one of those big important buildings - is it the capitol building?

It's attached to the Marbles Children's Museum, on Blount street, one block north of Moore Square.

PET-PEEVE *ALERT*....why do people always say that, of course you wish you could've seen in in IMAX, thats the point of IMAX!!!! it's supposed to be BETTER...thats like someone who drives a Chrysler 300 but says I wish i had a phantom.....

I don't understand people who don't want to see a movie like this multiple times in multiple formats anyway.

Why would you not go and see an incredible film more than once?

Already bought tickets for the 7:00 showing at Mission Valley.

It may not be the best theater in town...but it serves beer, so actually yeah it's the best theater in town.

It's not the best theater in town...but beer aside, it doesn't have stupid stadium seating bullshit, so it's better than all those that do.

That's why I said it doesn't matter whether or not MV has beer, it only matters that they don't have lameass stadium seating.

there are generally three rows of seats in a stadium seating theater with an acceptable viewing angle

some of them are too low

most of them are too high

i don't want to look down upon the movie

I guess that makes sense; never really seemed to bother me much on a 100 ft screen tho. To each his own I guess

that's the beauty of imax

the screen says to you

"check it out, i'm in the right place for all of you"

^ it's only really a problem in the mega-theaters that are much wider and taller than the screen...but that's precisely the kind of room we're talking about on release weekend for a movie like this

So if IMAX wasn't in the equation, are you saying you'd sacrifice a bigger screen and a MUCH better sound system of a Crossroads type theater in exchange for a MV w/ shitty sound and smaller screen...just for the sake of being on your preferred plane with the screen?

yes

the sound at crossroads isn't much better than mv since they upgraded the sound in the big rooms, though

i like intimacy in my theaters

The only Batman movie with any relevance to this one is Batman Begins.

If you know how/why Batman became Batman, that's enough, really.

I'd tell you to go read Batman: Year One, but the simple explanation is this:

Bruce Wayne's parents were killed by a street criminal before his very eyes when he was a small boy. Because he is/was the heir to a significant fortune, he uses his means to fight crime in his home of Gotham City in the guise of a bat.
