it probably belongs in the garage, but i'll ask here anyway - i've got some 10W-30 in my garage, but (of course) the manual calls for straight 30...i don't know much about engines and such, but i suspect 10W-30 or 5W-30 will work just fine...and since a quart of that costs ~$1.75 vs. $4 for a pint of straight 30, i'd rather use it

either one of those will be fine.
10w will be plenty if you store it in the garage. you're not going to use it in the winter, and the temp range should be ok...
i put 10w-30 in mine fwiw.

just about any oil is only is a residential lawn mower. even oil to take from an oil change in your car, provide you change your oil routinely and just a decent quality oil.
